(Way way better, in my opinion)You can put the carbon back into the slotted holes if you want. It is included, see picture. THIS IS A BEATIFUL KNIFE. Very smooth, centered, NO blade play. Very solid lockup. Extremely sharp I have 2 knives and decided to keep thumb hole version.
