Description: Top of the line hand made by Toshio Kato in 1982. GC 30 A was top model produced up to 1985. I received this guitar new and unused in 1992. Do not play classical music and play jazz. Needed a cutaway guitar for that which I purchased shortly after. I had no idea that guitar had a French polish as a Laquer and accidentally cleaned it with Windex ruining the finish. I took it apart and had an idea of refinishing it myself. That never came to fruition…Guitar was stored in controlled environment until recently when I gave it to an experienced luthier for a new French finish coat. He did a great job and it was pricey but could not make it into original orange like color so it is clear shellac coat.I also had small microphone system installed and for that it has round hole for 1/4” plug which I asked him not to fill in order to preserve original. I also had to purchase new 39 spacer Gotoh tuners similar to what it originally had. I am sure have them somewhere but could not find it. The pricing for those rare guitars go from $3000 to $12000. Guitar is in absolutely mint condition and I decided to set a price reasonable at $5000 I went to local specialized classical guitar store and could not find anything decent at that price range. Everything seems to be overpriced… oh well
