Description: For sale here is an original and and rare Spanish Nationalist Armored Tank Parade Drum Hanger Cover Skirt. The Skirt Features a large very German looking tank inside of a shield underneath the letters D. A. The shield is under the Spanish Crown. The skirt measures approximately 34" wide and 10" tall. The skirt is made of red satin that shows some piques, scuffs, soiling, small holes, water staining, and dirt, and wear. The lower edge of the banner is ringed in gold bullion and there are a number of fancy gold bullion twisted tassels. It does appear that quite a few of these tassels are missing, and some of them are very fragile. The center of the skirt has a large padded shield to add some depth that is ringed in silver spring wire bullion. The center of the shield has the letters D. A. at the top in silver spring wire bullion. The tank is made of various types of silver bullion with black accents. The tank resembles a Tiger or a Panther. The crown is made of gold bullion and has red and green accents. At one time, it appears that the crown was ringed in white beads, but many of the beads are now missing. Each side and the top of the skirt have red cotton straps for attaching to the drum. The straps show soiling, age, wear, and a few spots of fraying. The back of the skirt is also red, but it is covered in red smooth cotton instead of satin, and it shows similar wear, age, and soiling to the front. This piece is well used, but it is gorgeous and there is some top notch bullion work done here. This will display extremely well!
