Description: Lafette M.G.Z.34 periscope! This is a rare MGZ 34 periscope sight attachment used with both Mg 34 and Mg42 Lafette tripods. A periscope mount was developed for the MGZ 34 optic model to reduce the angle of view of the shooter's head, as it turned out that they were getting head shots on the Russian front. In later MGZ 40 optic models, the ocular drum was positioned at a lower level, which reduced the need for a periscope mount for them, although obviously they were manufactured in small quantities. Obviously, this is a factory-made product! On top of the original factory paint, another arsenal paint of the post-war period is applied! Good optics in everything, with good working optics.!!!
