Description: I'm reluctant to let these go as they are my most perfect set of Vinaver's 3 volume edition of Malory's Works. Finding such a set in such excellent condition is rare. Furthermore, I'm in the habit (whether for good or ill you decide) of "improving" books in my collection when it seems necessary. In this case the beautiful paper dust jackets seemed fragile and likely to tear or get stained from merely holding the books. Therefore I reinforced them with transparent packing tape. In order to preserve the beauty of of the matte finish I did most of the reinforcement on the inside of the covers. However, on the spines the plastic coating is on the exterior. Also I repaired a 1" tear on the back cover of the dust jacket on Volume 3. See photos for that extra shine effect. These are a personal treasure and while I always pack with extra care, when an item is rare, valuable, or collectable I go to extra lengths to ensure safe delivery.
