Description: Winston Churchill Autograph Album Signed During the Blitz British statesman and icon Winston Churchill 1941 autograph album signed during the blitz in Britain. The signatures in the album were compiled by Grace Ball (and some by her daughter Margaret). Grace Ball's husband was the Manager of the Colston Hall in Bristol, UK in the 1930s/40s. Churchill visited Bristol on 12th of April, 1941 the day after the blitz to survey damages of the Nazi bombings. The signature was acquired at that time. One of the very few wartime Churchill autographs we have ever seen and the first we have ever offered in our company's 40 year history! PLEASE NOTE: The picture of Churchill was taken on April 12th, 1941 the day the album was signed. It depicts Churchill surveying the damage after the blitz and is shown FOR HISTORICAL REFERENCE ONLY and is NOT included with the sale of the item.
