The tube is made of blued steel.This is the Universal outer tube that fits all of the pump action rifles in Short, Long and Long Rifle. Overall length is 17 & 7/16 inches. The bottom of the loading port is 5 inches from the muzzle end of the tube. This tube also is built such that the magazine friction spring is no longer needed. To adjust the tension for your inner tube, take a punch and slightly tap the center piece between the two parallel cuts. No modifications required for installation. This outer magazine tube is made in the USA.
