The diameter of the base is about 2 1/2". It does show signs of wear due to age and use. There is a small flea bite on the bottom of the inside There are a couple of dings on the base. But I believe that it is still in very good used condition as shown in pictures. It is marked on the bottom, but it is blurry and all I can read is 36.
