No damage chips or cracks. The chain is square link brass and attaches to the shade with decorative brass clamps. The shade measures 14 inches wide and about 7 inches tall. It has the original socket for 1 bulb and will need to be rewired. (Photos are taken with a staging bulb to show what it looks like illuminated) .
