Description: Vivitar 28mm 1:2.5 Auto Wide-Angle ∅62mm For Nikon DSLR/SLR This is a Vivitar 28mm f/2.5 wide angle macro lens for Nikon's common F mount bayonet DSLR and SLR cameras. It is in great condition. This is lens is one of the later models in the lens' production span, manufactured with the Nikon AI (Aperture Indexing) bayonet mount, which allows modern Nikon DSLR camera's light meter to function properly. Lens' metal barrel is solid with light signs of use. Front, rear, and internal optics are spectacular, clear, and clean. The focus ring operates smoothly from 0.4m (1.45 ft) - to ∞ infinity. Observed: closest focus distance is 7 inches. The aperture adjusting ring clicks through all f-stops as it should, and the internal aperture blades are snappy and free of contaminants. The metal mount is symmetrical, shinny and clean. It comes with the original Vivitar metal front cap (∅62mm), rear lens caps, and a HOYA 62∅ UV(0) filter. This is a vintage manual focus lens for all Nikon DSLR and SLR cameras. It will work on all Nikon F-mount SLR and digital in (M) Manual Mode. The Nikon AI bayonet mount is compatible with all modern Nikon DSLR. Used on my Nikon Df and D610 DSLR; It is natively compatible with the original film (FX) sensor, and it will also work with the smaller (DX) digital sensor. Numbered: 22315377. Vivitar serial numbers beginning with 22 specify the lens was manufactured for Vivitar by Kiron.
