Description: Vintage Sherwood Stereo Receiver Model S-7100S Excellent cosmetic condition. Tested and all functions operate but please see the notes below. See photos for actual condition. Feel free to ask questions. Note: as is usual with vintage receivers there is “crackling” when tuning between radio stations as well as adjusting volume and tone and when moving between functions. Some of the face plate lamps seem to be out. We always suggest vintage stereo equipment be purchased by audiophiles who have the means and/or skill to handle the restoration needs that often arise including but not limited to: recaps, lamp issues, etc. The S-7100A was one of the higher end receivers on the market in 1970. From the company who built the first solid-state receivers, the build quality of the early Sherwood receivers was exceptional and their performance matched that of the more well known brands of the time.
