VINTAGE "POVERTY SUCKS" GLITTER MOTION LAMP EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION. RARE!

Description: VINTAGE CAR MOTION LAMP FANTASIA PRODUCTS 1980s "POVERTY SUCKS" RARE!. In excellent condition with original bulb. The bulb's heat causes convection currents in the encased fluids with glitter effects. The lamp consists of a 10" square x 4" deep wooden frame with a front plexiglass screen hiding a glass canister holding a fluid in which the confetti-like glitter is suspended. The heat from the small candelabra-based (E12) incandescent lamp convects the fluid with the resultant movement of the shining confetti with mesmerizing, constantly changing sparkle effects (see close-ups). The legend "Poverty Sucks" depicting an antique luxury limousine reflects the "greed is good" ethos of the 1980s, forever memorialized by Gordon Gekko in the movie "Wall Street". Please place it in your wine cellar or bar to impress your friends!The unit is lightly used with no noticeable blemishes on its wooden sides or plexiglass front. The cord set, rotary switch, E12 socket, and bulb are all in working order, although tungsten filament lamps can be delicate. Please note that although in excellent working condition and virtually unblemished, this item is about 50 years old. Fortunately, 15W E12 base incandescent lamps are still readily available if a replacement is needed. The cord set, rotary switch, and lamp socket are all original and bear the markings typical of American-made electrical products of the 1980s. The lamp itself does not appear to have had much use, with no visible tungsten deposits on its inner surface. Please unpack carefully to ensure the lamp is not unintentionally discarded or damaged. This vintage novelty lamp is an example of genuine 1980s nostalgia suitable for collectors. It is rare in this excellent condition.
