Vintage Original Plumb National on Plumb Tested Hickory Handle

Description: This listing is for a vintage, original Plumb National pattern hatchet, rehung on original Plumb -Tested Hickory- handle. This hatchet was restored and hung in San Francisco, California at Stunner Blades Customs. This 1 3/4 lb Plumb National pattern head was cleaned and blued. The bit was reground and hand stoned/polished. The Plumb stamp is clean and legible. The poll has light hammer marks, but is otherwise very clean. The handle is the vintage original, with Plumb -Tested Hickory USA- lightly stamped into it. There is a slight amount of original gold paint on the bottom of the handle. The head was reseated and fully wedged with fresh Yellow Poplar. Total length is 16” with a total weight of 2 lbs 3 oz.
