Description: Vintage 1940's gorgeous glistening muskrat fur coat. Get out your inner fierce, big-shouldered Joan Crawford fire engine lipstick and brow liner! It's roomy large, as was the style then (I'm modelling it and I'm 5'10"). It is open swing style, no fasteners, with slit pockets (inner pockets still in good condition, no holes.) There is no label, the inner lining is a russet crepe which has some fading with age, but otherwise in okay shape. The lining has come loose about 4" along the back inside collar, (see pic) --an easy repair.This was my mother's coat and stored smoke free in the family for years. It is dry and could benefit from some professional conditioning/hydrating and it carries a mild scent of, well, fur. There is a three inch tear in the leather under the left armpit (see photo). The lining on inside cuff of the right sleeve has come unstitched, also an easy repair. (see photo). Coat length: 38", shoulders: 19-20", sleeve length (cuff rolled): 25".
