There is a small amount of finish wear. Light scratches and marks. Two scuffs or marks on the dial. Nice color and shine on the finish. Made in the USA battery operated quartz movement. One AA battery required, included but unsure of previous battery use. I did not research this clock at all so I could be wrong, but it looks to me like this was part of a larger clock. Maybe a pendulum or grandfather clock. Someone took the dial out and installed a battery operated movement. I think it probably looks better this way.. either way it's nice looking, simple wall clock, with large easy to read numbers.
