Description: Yeah, not the prettiest example at all. It works though. Someone who had it before me replaced the filter capacitors. There are also markings on two of the tubes that indicate they were measured on a tube tester. Somebody cared about this preamp. You can see that it is worn looking and is missing the screws that hold the cover on it. It had some slight hiss so I swapped the tubes from the phono stage to the line stage. Now it is nice and quiet for me. I didn't test it with a turntable but my guess is that you may need different tubes there? Or just one? Maybe?? The tubes in the line stage are Amperex Made in Great Britain 12AX7A. My understanding is that these were made in the Mullard factory. You probably know that these are highly regarded tubes. The other tubes are mismatched. One looks like a black plate (Raytheon or RCA). The grey plate is maybe a Mullard also (?) but no guarantee. Given the age of this thing I must sell it as is. That said, I didn't shaft people. Check out my feedback. I've been doing the eBay thing for a long time and a lot of that has been stereo toys.
