In 1958 Corning Glass introduced their first Pyroceram cookware called Blue Cornflower. The Pyroceram formula was adjusted and a new line of dinnerware was made to compliment the cookware. In 1970 Corelle was introduced. One of the first patterns offered was the Butterfly Gold. All the plates are marked on the bottom with: Corelle by Corning Corning, NY USA Not for Broiler or Stovetop USA. Please see our other eBay listings for other fun pieces. These plates are in normal used condition with no chips, cracks, or discolorations. There are several light scratches from years of use. We could not get a photo of them, but when you hold them to the light just right, then you can see them. We are nonsmoking shop/home and there are no odors on these plates.
