Description: Vintage Automatic Telephone Company Monophone. Bakelite, chrome rotary dial. I bought this is 1970 and used as an extension phone. I did not hook up the ringer as at that time, supposedly the telephone company could tell you had another phone and would charge you for it but they couldn't tell if you didn't hook up the ringer. It may have been an urban legend but I bought it at the time. I continued to use the phone intermittently as an extension and addition to my art deco decor. The dial and handset worked fine until I dropped my land line and went all cell around 2016. The original cord plus modern cord attached for phone jack extend over 11 feet. There is a mild crack or fissure in the body of the phone pictured in the last picture. You have to examine the phone closely to see it and it does not affect function. The ringer may work if attached properly to a land line, the bells are still in the body of the phone. Please contact me if questions.
