Description: I’m very excited to offer for your consideration this absolutely STUNNING 1920’s silver plated, neo-colonial revival style chandelier ! This fixture completely embodies 1920’s stylings, and is of very fine quality. I’ve never offered a fixture quite like this one before, and it is one of the most elegant fixtures from this period that I’ve had the pleasure of restoring. The silver plated finish is in *almost* perfect vintage condition, only showing very discreet, minor signs of age. The canopy and mounting hardware are original to the fixture, but the chain is new - a period appropriate replacement for the badly corroded original. This is, unfortunately, a very common issue with vintage lights. I am rarely able to retain original fixture chain. Of special note is the exceptional quality of the castings found all over this chandelier. The motif resembles a foliate design, possibly derived from a thistle, I think? Every casting is very crisp, and shows a remarkable level of detail. Though I do not know who made this fixture, it was certainly by a higher end manufacturer. If you’ve been looking for something EXTRA glamorous for over your dining room table or in your foyer, perhaps, this fixture might just be the one! The scale of this fixture is ideal for almost any medium size room, measuring about 30 - inches to the bottom of the center final, though light bulbs will add a bit more length, depending what kind are to be used. It is quite robust in diameter though, measuring at about 20 - inches around. I may be able to adjust the length a bit, just let me know! The sockets are original and in good working order, while all the wiring is new - the vertical wire being cloth covered like the original. All the necessary mounting hardware to install the fixture is included in the sale. Light bulbs are not included. Shipped via UPS ground.
