Circa late 1960's or early 1970's, Ceramic Polychrome, Hand Painted Candelabra with wire attached hanging fruit and birds. Fantastic Day of the Dead candelabra created by renowned Mexican folk artist Alfonso Castillo (1944 -2009). He was an extremely talented potter from Izúcar de Matamoros, in the Mexican state of Puebla, and his work has been internationally recognized. His tree of life sculptures are particularly sought after examples of his wonderfully imaginative and colorful folk art. He taught his craft to his wife and five children and they continue to create pieces in his style from their family workshop. Excellent condition, great gift for Hispanic Heritage Month!
