Description: I am pleased to offer this Rare Rusty Phelps 1972 Solid Bronze Smoking Cowboy Statue! This beautiful piece was crafted by Rusty Phelps, an artist renowned for his western theme sculptures and paintings. The sculpture is of a cowboy sitting, rolling tobacco in his fingers while holding what looks to be a pouch is his teeth. The sculpture is finely detailed and has a beautiful dark bronze color with some very light patina. The bottom of the piece is signed by Rusty Phelps, © '72, and also marked "10-15". The sculpture is attached to a wood base that looks like it may be a replacement, and is not original to the sculpture. (there are two mounting bolts attached to the bottom). Measures approx. (without base) 8-1/4" H x 4" Deep x 3-1/4" W ; base measures approx. 4-1/2" W x 5-3/8" Deep x 7/8" HCondition:This vintage sculpture is in very good condition, showing some light dust and very minor scratching from display.
