It keeps time to within specs (+-30 seconds per day) and the date wheel rolls over as it should.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Aquastar Atoll has a "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in pristine condition. The lume, which remains fully intact and emits a quick-burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The bezel, which shows minor wear and ratchets unidirectionally, looks good with the lume pip complementing the dial and patina nicely. The beautifully cut all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back is stamped "AQUASTAR - GENEVE" and "600-2696" along with a crudely handwritten inscription. The crystal is flawless. The original 536.121 hacking quartz movement with quickset date function received a complete overhaul in September 2020. Although no service paperwork will be provided my watchmaker's service marking is etched on the inside of the case back. The movement keeps time to within specs (+-30 seconds per day) and the date wheel rolls over as it should. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the original Aquastar signed crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. The crown unscrews and screws back down perfectly as it should. This watch measures approximately 37 mm excluding the crown, approximately 41 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 10 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 11 mm. This watch comes on a lightly used beige NATO strap. Although the movement is currently running strong and keeping accurate time the battery is on the back end of its life and may need to be replaced at any time. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time.
