Description: ***********The ETA 1258 automatic movement runs about 2 minutes slow by the end of its approximate 38 hour power reserve period and the date wheel completes rolling over at around 11:30 pm. Additionally, when winding the crown there is a subtle slip every several full revolutions. Given these issues and considering that the movement shows no clear signs of ever having been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.***********This seldom seen vintage 1950's Technos Technomatic has an aged "SWISS" only signed dial that shows considerable wear. Having said that (and as seen in the pictures) in my humble opinion it presents much nicer in person. The all stainless steel case shows honest wear with minor signs of oxidation. As most clearly seen in pictures 9 through 13 the top left lug and the bottom right lug have indentations, likely the results of many years of wear caused by poorly fitted end links. The integrity of all four lugs is intact. The outside of the case back is stamped "TECHNOS." The inside of the case back is stamped "1256." The crystal shows scratching. The 17 jewels adjusted Swiss "TECHNOS TECHNOMATIC" stamped ETA 1258 automatic movement runs strong, albeit slow, and the date wheel completes rolling over at approximately 11:30 pm. The numbers on the date wheel are fading. This movement does not have a semi-quickset date function. After recently winding the signed, non-screwdown crown 39 full revolutions the movement ran about 2 minutes slow by the end of its aproximate 37 hour power reserve period. Although the crown winds smoothly after every several full revolutions there is a subtle slip. Given these issues and considering that the movement has likely never been serviced a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 35 mm excluding the crown, approximately 38 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 7 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 9 mm. A complete overhaul is recommended. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch.Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.
