Description: VINTAGE 1950's Gold Painted Wood Picture Frame This is a super old vintage wood picture frame from the 1950's that held the wedding picture of my parents. Featuring a warm, rich shade of antiqued gold, it is elegant in its simplicity. It does appear that this was hand painted gold on the front-facing but not on the sides of the frame. Most likely my mom did it to add some pizazz to a basic wood frame. Good job! Measuring about 9" wide and 11” in height, the frame interior holds a print size of just less than 8"x10" (7.5" x 9.5" is the actual measurement). It can be displayed in both directions: horizontal and vertical. While the front of the frame has held up to the test of time, the back shows age-related wear. The maroon-colored velvet fabric matches the ripe old age of about 70 years. I have so many picture frames listed! Please be sure to check them all out.
