Description: Vintage 1943 DOUBLE COLA Starr X cast iron wall mount bottle opener made by Brown Co. in USA. Patent 2333088. Double Cola Company dates to 1922 with headquarters in Chattanooga, TN and was originally sold in 12-ounce bottles… twice the size of other leading soda brands that were being sold at the time. They were an early competitor with Coca-Cola. RARE!! Very good condition with no breaks to the metal. Very minor light surface corrosion in a few small places as shown. Displays Well!!
