Description: Vintage late 1930s / 1940s lightweight blue polka dot dress. AS-IS condition. Material is VERY delicate. MEASUREMENTS (approximate): Bust - 34 1/2" Waist - 26" Hips - 32" Length - 42" Nice peplum design. The dress is see-through, so a slip must be worn underneath. Make sure none of the above measurements are tight. The material is a very thin crepe rayon. The dress is quite delicate and I don't think I would wear it for much more than a photo shoot if that. It is in AS-IS condition and has flaws. The off-white trim on the collar and sleeves has a lot of holes, tears and shredding. The dress has a hook and eye at the back of the neck and a side snap opening (the top snap pieces have a thread connecting them). The buttons down the front are purely for decoration. There is one missing button at the top and several of the buttons have rust staining and wear. The belt has one unfinished end and the other end has a lot of small holes. There is staining throughout, but it is hard to see. The staining was easier to see laying on the floor than it was on the mannequin. There are a few popped seams. As it is now, it could only be worn if you are very careful. A note on vintage clothing: I am not the original owner of these items, therefore I cannot guarantee their history. I am a non-smoker myself, but can't say the garment has never been around cigarette smoke or moth balls. While I would never list an item I find to have an offensive odor, I cannot ensure buyers (especially those very sensitive to odors) will feel the same as smell is subjective. I DO COMBINE SHIPPING!
