Vintage 1920s Vanity or Compact Case with Floral Design

Description: Up for bid is an original vintage pre-owned 1920s Vanity or Compact Case with Floral Design. Found at an estate sale. Made in the USA. Patent 1598991A was applied for on Feb 3, 1926 by William Strauss. It measures about 3 ½” diameter by ½” tall. It has a mirror still intact with some oxidation spots. The clasps work, but you have to push the button for it to lock. It’s made of gold tone metal with a celluloid coating on the top and bottom. The top has a red rose floral design on top. The bottom is a white celluloid coating. It’s in great condition for its age with general wear from use and storage. Please see pictures for more condition details or e-mail with any questions.
