The SV-228's use of the JJ ECC82 tubes is a nice upgrade from its predecessor's use of two 12AU7 tubes. In the final amplification stage, Toshiba A1941 transistors deliver 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms and 180 watts per channel at 4 ohms.
