USA WW2 blade-marked Camillus M3 Trench Fighting knife, M8 composition scabbard

Description: Original WW2 M3 Trench Knife manufactured by CAMILLUS Cutlery. This is an early blade-marked type; it comes with original M8 composition scabbard painted black. The knife is about 11-1/2” / 29.3 cm overall; the blade is about 6-1/2" / 16.5 cm. This M3 is well-used but it's in good overall condition, considering the age. The blade has been re-sharpened, the edge is very sharp still; the tip is a bit rounded. The blade is sharply stamped US M3 CAMILLUS on one side. Stacked leather washers handle is painted green; steel guard and hammer-like pommel. The guard has a bit of a play; other handle parts are solid. Original M8 composition scabbard by Beckwith Manufacturing Co. The scabbard is in great condition - no cracks, chips, or dings; the keeper is nice and tight. Lower part is painted black; no mold or rust stains on the webbing. Original M8 composition scabbard by Beckwith Manufacturing Company - marked US M8 / B.M. CO. on the throat. The scabbard is in great condition - no cracks, chips, or dings; the keeper is nice and tight. Lower part is painted black; no mold or rust stains on the webbing. Overall, this classic American WW2 era M3 Trench Knife is in 100% serviceable condition still; this type is getting harder to find in better grades every year. This rare WW2 era fighting knife has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way; it is in 100% original "as-is" condition; these are the actual photos.
