This particular piece of steel was taken from the torpedo blisters on the side of the hull of the USS Texas during restoration. The USS Texas was the flagship of the US Fleet from 1927 until 1941. This is an opportunity to own a historic piece of low background steel from the USS Texas Battleship which was decorated with 5 battle stars during WW2! This steel was removed during restoration of the USS Texas and was engraved with BB35. It is really cool that you can clearly see the decades of layers of paint on the exterior side of this relic. This rare WW2 artifact weighs about 1.9 ounces and measures approximately 1" x 1" x 0.44" at widest points and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity!
