Installation Tips How to Measure Required Steering Column Length in Three Easy Steps Your steering column length will not always be identical to the factory column due to several factors, including seating position, steering linkage connection (converting from a gear box to a rack-and-pinion for example), and other factors. Shift indicator is a cheesy plastic . Important ! You will need to remove filler cover from old one and it matches pretty good to new one . Also I used OG shifter linkage from old one . Also used old shift indicator cover to replace plastic one . I tapped in new hole for cover where new column meet old dash so far looks good only thing I suggest it but one with nutural safety switch opening.
