Description: Up for your consideration is this SPECTACULAR antique Mexican brooch. It is made from solid fine silver, and features a large bird on a flowering branch which has been executed in repousse. The design is wonderfully ornate and very exciting! The flowers on the branches have central turquoise cabochons! The face of this brooch measures 2 1/4" in diameter. The turquoise stones measure approximately 5mm each. This brooch is hallmarked on the back: MADE IN MEXICO 980, as well as a detailed makers mark. This brooch is in overall EXCELLENT antique condition! One turquoise cabochon has a crack, but it is minor and stable. I would date this piece to the 1940's. Please feel free to ask any questions and be sure to check out my other GREAT items!
