Description: This is a collection from the Raphael Tuck & Sons "Land of Flowers" Series 2250 and includes Rose, Forget-me-nots, Gaillardia, Cornflowers and Hepatica If you look at the photo for the Gaillardia, it's a white background, and the colors on the flowers are "filled in". The top and one side are "perforated" where the other two sides are cut. This appears to be a standard postcard from the series BUT... The other cards do not look like the same. The paper weight of the others is heavier, and the stock is more of a natural/beige color, not the creamy white of the Gaillardia. Both the cornflowers and the Rose cards have PARTIALLY colored images, most of the design is still just outlined. The Hepatica and Forget-Me-Not cards have NO COLOR AT ALL. It's as if these were proof copies or some sort of test design which had the artwork only. The backs of each have the same information printed on them as the "finished" version, but also in the same raw color as the front. Information on the back includes:along the side:"Raphael Tuck & Sons "Land of Flowers" Series no 2550Art Publishers to their majesties the King and Queenalong the top:Chromographed in BavariaBy Appointment with the royal coat of armsTuck's Post Card Carte Postale Postkarte there an illustration in the box where the stamp goes Divided Back See photos for detailed condition - these are the cards you will receive. There are no tears, but the Gaillardia card has a partial crease about an inch from the bottom running across the right 2/3 of the card. Not noticeable when flat, but definitely there and you can feel it when you pick it up. Foxing is evident on all of the cards, but heaviest on the "unfinished" cards which have more of a cardboard finish to them, not smooth like the Gaillardia card.
