It means that it is capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle and the passengers for 50 miles at up to a speed of 50 mph after the loss of air pressure. These tires are manufactured for vehicles that do not have space for a spare tire. They ensure that the driver will not be stranded on the side of the road, but they will be able to safely arrive at a destination where they can change or repair their tire.
