The first editions in English contain the entirety of Nietzsche’s magnum opus in a single volume.-Condition and Description: Publisher’s olive cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, front cover ruled in blind, 7.75" x 5.25", 479 pp (+publisher’s catalog). Covers rubbed and spotted. Tips bumped and exposed. Spine tanned, rubbed, and with loss at the ends (most prominently at the crown). Bookplate on front paste down, with offsetting to the front flyleaf. Front slightly hinge tender, with separation starting, but sound and firmly holding (refer to the final two pictures for closeups). Internally, the binding is sound, but over-opened in several places, with a joint at page 291 just starting, as shown. Free and clear of writing and underlining. The pages are lightly tanned and have occasional imperfections throughout (e.g., unbent corner, age spotting, rubbing to extremities), with representative examples as pictured.
