Description: Thunbergia fragrans is a vine in the Acanthaceae family. A native to the Indian Subcontinent of Southern China, Indo-China, and the Philippines. Some familiar names include indrapushapa, WhiteLady, or Sweet Clock-Vine. The paste made from the twigs is used for fevers and wounds. It can grow out to 40 feet long in any direction. The flowers are fragrant, around 1-3 inches in diameter. It can be put in a container with something to grow up, but it will need to be trimmed a few times throughout the season. Great for covering long fences or a large pergola or trellis. It can grow in most soils under full sun. Birds, bees, and butterflies love flowers. Zones 9-11GerminationSoak seeds overnight. Sow seeds 1/4" deep and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic, and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-30 days.
