Description: The World's Great Religions: Life Special Edition for Young Readers 1958 Funky Christmas / Everyday Funky These books etc. come from my father-in-law's estate. We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. This book was found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. This book is in very good condition. The spine is unbroken. Dust jacket has normal wear and tear and has been covered in a clear plastic cover for decades. Actual front and back cover have minimal damage. No marks or highlighting in text. Cover lies flat. Some color photographs. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. This book is an ex-library book from back in the day when people didn't mess with other people's stuff. The dust jacket is covered with clear plastic, but we can see a tear at the top left on the spine of the dust jacket and the bottom front left dust jacket looks to be missing a 1/4 by 1 inch piece of the cover design near the bottom spine. Like it was scraped off but it doesn't go through (See picture). The corners also look rough on front and back dust jacket. Book itself looks great except for the bottom edge where the books stands up; it is rough and some of the edge peeled off, probably from the bookcase, which has happened to a couple of the books we have. Not normally noticeable. The first and second pages in have old tape residue from holding the dust jacket in place. The title page has an ink stamp from the school. Page 50 has a stain of unknown origin. Last 2 pages have old tape residue, again from holding that dust jacket in place. At one time there was a loaner card envelop which was taken out and there is evidence it was there. As far as we can see, this is all that is wrong with the book. Please see pictures and please assume we missed something (old eyes!) Please note: very few of the issues above are from the library...that was a time when people didn't damaged other people's things. Most of the books problems are on the dust jacket. This is a book when from when we, as Americans, struggled to understand each other. Perfect for families as an opening up of conversations about religion. Only priced so low because the book was obviously used before. Looking for a new home for it, hopefully in a family that will enjoy it for years to come.
