The US Dept of State as a recognized artist Merced River looking E. from Hwy 59

Description: My works are now recognized by the United States Department of State Embassy. A painting was recently picked up and to be placed in a US Consulate residence overseas! vance hanna see my name on USState Dept site. CA hwy99 at Merced River 8" x 10" { 20cm x 16cm]oil on canvas panel framed 14" x 16" [36cm x 40cm] Hanna’s work is simple and was painted on site at CA 99 & the river plein aire style I have been traveling this highway for a couple of years and painted this particular location last year about this time. It is an overpass of the Merced River, Merced County, California. In the distant background are the Sierra's heading toward Mariposa and on toward Yosemite. The surrounding landscape is divided between ranching, vineyards and orchards. This is the central valley of California. It was another sunny afternoon as I started into the work this afternoon in April. Although it is 'dry' and will fully dry within a 6 month~year period, it is now sealed with a varnish and ready for framing. See my other similar study from last year here on ebay. It is oil on canvas panel arriving fully framed as shown in the 'correct' plein aire style frame. In one case in Mexico I blurted out in French that I don't speak Spanish or English....laughingly. The folks were from France so we carried on for a while in my limited French. ( but I do attempt Spanish). I live in Northern California and travel all over the state. Went to College and Grad school here in CA, and have lived back East for many years.
