Althas the Alchemist Aleksandr Vishnevsky Synopsis:Beautiful Lucanida: The film plays a drama from medieval life, the main characters of which are insects - the love story of the queen of stag beetles Lucanida and Count Geros from a rival tribe of barbel beetles. As the heroes of the film, Vlad Starevich filmed insects from his extensive entomological collection, first giving them the qualities necessary for shooting. Funny scenes from the life of animals: Our cameraman managed to spy a number of funny scenes from the life of animals and capture them on the film - see how hysterically quarrels the nestlings in the nest, how the owl argues with the crow for the piece of meat, how the crow rides, etc., etc. The Cameraman's Revenge: A jilted husband takes his revenge by filming his wife and her lover and showing the result at the local cinema. This was one of Starewicz' first animated films, and stars very realistic animated beetles. Dragonfly and Ant: In the heart of the busy, bustling-with-insects forest, the ant, nature's humble and indefatigable worker, toils away under the scorching summer sun, preparing for the imminent winter. However, when you are a beautiful, cheerful, and tall grasshopper, you have all the time in the world to have fun with your friends, and work is nothing but a waste of time. But, now that chilly autumn has arrived and the leaves begin to fall from the trees, the frivolous grasshopper, who hasn't worked a day in his life and has spent the entire summer singing and dancing, is starting to see the error of his ways. Will the hard-working ant lend the grasshopper a helping hand? The Insects' Christmas: A Father Christmas ornament climbs down from a decorated tree, and goes to the forest. There he creates and decorates a Christmas tree for the forest creatures. He then invites all the insects, along with a friendly frog, to come and enjoy the gifts he has prepared, and to celebrate Christmas. A Journey to the Moon. Christmas Eve: Based on Gogol's story: It's Christmas Eve, and everyone in the village has plans. The devil and the witch Solokha are looking for ways of causing mischief. Chub the Cossack just wants some vodka. Solokha's son, Vakula the smith, wants to court Chub's charming daughter Oksana, who sets him on a quest: if Vakula will bring her the tsaritsa's shoes, Oksana will marry him. Meanwhile, the popular Solokha has a series of male visitors to contend with. When Vakula interrupts her, it sets off a chain of events that leads to a busy night for everyone. Mars' Stepson. Portrait: A man is increasingly unnerved by a mysterious portrait. Based on a story by Nikolai Gogol, the film is thought to have run about 45 minutes long, but only an 8 minute fragment is known to have survived. The Lily of Belgium: A girl in the forest found a broken lily and brought it to her grandfather, who at that time thought about the horrors of the outbreak of World War I, and the broken lily reminds him of poor Belgium. In response to a granddaughter's request to tell a fairy tale - he tells her about the lily. Sashka the Horseman. Towards People's Power. Cagliostro.
