I use a 13" handle that is is secured internally two different ways to the ball. It will create the speed needed to get that deep pocket your looking for and for that good impact on your bat. Using a longer handle also keeps you from accidentally smashing your hand on the bat or the stitching of a glove. Drastically reduces the dreaded break in time of your bat and/or glove. The mallet will allow you to make the exact pocket you want as you have full control. I also work the hinge from the outside of the glove to make the glove close the way I want it to. The mallet generates a lot of force so start out slow so you don't hurt your hand. In no time at all you will have that custom fitting glove that would have taken you weeks maybe even months to create! When using on a bat I personally like to hold the bat at the taper with one hand while working the length of the barrel with the mallet in my other hand. I use approx 7-8 strikes on the length of the barrel then rotate the bat and mallet about an inch or less and repeat until you have gone all the way around the barrel. You have to use moderate force when doing this so use caution. This will get your bat game ready ASAP avoiding those 300-400 BP hits needed to break it in. So get one now and start hitting bombs!
