Overall Sold in Good Condition commensurate with age and use.Cloth Book Condition: Good with 1 volume in particular showing surface wear on spine please see close-up. Dust Jacket Condition: Good Condition commensurate with age and use. Dust wrappers vary in condition but for the most part are in Good Condition with a chipping and fraying along spine areas, closed tears, tiny paper splits, small tears, sunning on all spines, surface wear, scuffing, still all of the dust wrappers are present which makes this set extremely rare. Some cloth hardcovers show light shelf wear with a bit of rubbing and a few bumps to edges, and occasional random fading. Spine ends and corners bruised and a few are bumped. All cloth books are sound with the exception of Book IV Volume 2 as mentioned above, which has a few small sharp dents / incisions on topmost spine area, this can be restored by buyer. All book spines with bright gilded title lettering. Interiors with slight age even toning. Mixed editions are common with this work. A complete run of the third edition in original unclipped dust wrappers is extremely rare, this is it!All Dust wrappers will have a protective mylar cover as shown.
