“The Fighter Pilot” Original Caricature Drawing Marker Watercolor Framed Cartoon

Description: Original caricature drawing entitled “The Fighter Pilot,” a humorous depiction of an Air Force fighter pilot. The artwork measures approximately 11" x 14" and the frame measures approximately 12 7/8” x 15 7/8". The artwork looks like it was drawn with a pencil, inked with a marker, and painted with watercolors or watercolor markers. The age of the drawing is unknown. There’s a B&W photocopy of the drawing with handwritten information folded and taped to the cardboard backing. This photocopy may be from the artist. I didn’t want to try to remove the photocopy and risk damaging it. The drawing is from the estate of Richard “Bubba” Heinisch (1934 - 2018), a U.S. Air Force B-47 Stratojet Navigator/Bombardier with the 96th Bomb Wing, F-100 Super Sabre fighter pilot with the 352nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, and TWA pilot for 23 years. The drawing appears to be in excellent used condition with some spots and stray marks. There may also be some dust and debris particles where the glass meets the frame. It also looks like there is a small stain on the glass in the lower left corner (this stain appears to be on the inside of the glass). The drawing hasn’t been examined outside of the frame. The wood frame appears to be in very good used condition with some minor scratches, scrapes, abrasions, nicks, and indentations. There appears to be some minor cracking or separation of the wood in the upper left and right corners of the frame. The cardboard backing appears to be in excellent used condition.
