Description: Back in the good old days of vinyl there were rock n roll radio stations in most towns, featuring a disc jockey actually choosing records to play and shooting the breeze with the audience. The big challenge for record companies then was getting their releases in heavy rotation: Played on every show. Promo copies of "Shake it Up" as a picture disc were madeand given to DJs at leading radio stations to give away to listeners, . These discs were invariably one sided, the backside being left bank. They are very, very rare:A typical run would be 10 copies a market for the top 20-25makets. So a run of these promo discs would be 250-300 copies In big markets the dominant station could get up 25-50 copies. Thesecame with Shake it Up on the front and the radio stations call letters on the rear. These you just never see. I haven't seen one in some yearsThis picture disc is a "Shake it Up, made for radio station KMET the800 pound gorilla in LA. 1 of only 50 ever made.
