Description: "THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB" by JOHN GOWANS AND JOHN LARSSON - SPS 1981 UK LP ARTIST - JOHN GOWANS AND JOHN LARSSON (writers) TITLE - "THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB" FORMAT - vinyl LP OTHER DETAILS - • Salvationist Publishing & Supplies SPS 017, 1981 UK pressing • Plain inner sleeve • Fully laminated cover 'The Blood of the Lamb' is one in a series of ten musicals written by John Larsson (music) and John Gowans (script) between 1967 to 1990 - it was commissioned for the 1978 International Congress and the first performance took place in the Wembley Auditorium, London, on Friday 7 July 1978. The work is based on Vachel Lindsay’s epic poem 'General William Booth Enters Into Heaven'. The cover shows just minor signs of age with slight storage record-shaped impression and a few very small laminate crinkles/lines by the spine (see pictures above). The record is visually VG+/EX with just a few very light and hairline surface marks to each side only. Cover and labels are as seen in the pictures above (actual item shown) - see below for record grading, which obviously applies to records which have been played ONLY! Please note that all vinyl is visually graded under a bright halogen bulb - it is only play-graded if specifically stated. VINYL GRADING NEW: note that still sealed items will be presumed to be in 'new' condition, but are obviously sold as seen. Any visible signs of wear/storage etc. beneath the shrinkwrap will be mentioned. MINT: note please note that I will NEVER use the 'MINT' grade, as I think you are asking for trouble! The highest grade for an item that is not new will use will be NM (Near Mint). NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in very close to 'as new' condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in almost perfect condition. EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played a number of times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and maybe some occasional light scratches. If there is any surface noise it will be occasional, light and unobtrusive. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD (G): The record has obviously been played a lot and while it still plays through OK, it will have a lot of surface marks and/or light scratches (maybe also the occasional 'feelable' scratch) and most likely there there will be regular and noticeable surface noise. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine and/or seam splits, discoloration, etc. TERMS & CONDITIONS *Important* - the ONLY countries I will send to by uninsured mail are as follows: - UK. Europe (EU countries ONLY and Norway). USA and Canada. Australia, New Zealand and Japan. If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer.
