Fenner Chair of Research Biology at Wilkes University, where he is also the director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Sustainability. Margaret C. Brittingham is a professor of wildlife resources at Pennsylvania State University and a state Wildlife Extension Specialist. She chairs the Ornithological Technical Committee of the Pennsylvania Biological Survey. Timothy J. Maret is a professor of biology at Shippensburg University and chair of the Amphibian and Reptile Technical Committee of the Pennsylvania Biological Survey. Joseph F. Merritt is a senior mammalogist with the Illinois Natural History Survey at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of The Biology of Small Mammals and the coeditor of Mammalogy: Adaptation, Diversity, Ecology, third edition, both also published by Johns Hopkins.
