Description: SUPER RARE!! - Le Tarot de Yumi - c. 2002 - OOP!! From the Tarot Database at Alchenywebsite.com: 45 cards with only a distant resemblance to a standard tarot. 24 cards numbered I-XXIV comprise the Majors. Some of these obviously echo the established symbolism for the tarot major arcana, but others appear to have almost no link. Four suits of five cards each are named sky, ocean, fire, and earth. There is also a Yumi card, named after the deck creator. The imagery incorporates fashion model images, together with stylized masks. Cards I to XXII were issued as a promotional item 'Le Tarot Divinatoire Yumi' by Elle magazine. From TarotGarden.com: This 45 card, highly unusual deck, published by Grimaud, is Tarot...kinda, sorta. There are 24 Major Arcana, and a four suited Minor Arcana of Sky, Ocean, Fire, and Earth. Each suit only contains five cards, including one Court Card, which is titled the "Glory" of the suit. Imagery is delightful; colorfully costumed characters invite the viewer on a whimsical journey of self-exploration. The structure consists of 24 "major arcana" cards, and four "minor arcana" suits containing five cards each. A lone unclassified card, possibly analogous to The Fool -- titled "Yumi" -- rounds out the 45 cards of this festive oracle. Condition is unused. Cards have been opened for photography only.
