SUDETENLAND ASCH FREIKORPS SPECIAL CARD 1938 REICHSPARTEITAG NURNBERG 41 After Germans' take over the Austria in 1938, A.H. started a wide propaganda campaign against the Czechoslovak Government involving Sudeten Germans. Meantime in Sudetenland, A.H. has instructed Henlein to form his Freikorps and provided uniforms and arms. On September 21-22, 1938 the Freikorps took control of the areas of Asch, Eger, Franzensbad and Rumburg in Northern Bohemia and Jauernig in the North of Czech Silesia. On October 1, 1938 Germans crossed the border began occupation of Sudeten territories. The German card with Czechoslovakian issue overprinted with new value by local pro-German Freikorps administration in Asch on September 21, 1938 to celebrate the return to Germany and cancelled with existing Czech bilingual As1-Asch1 post office cancel on September 30, 1938 and with unboxed red hand stamp.
