The thumb has been drilled for an interchangeable insert. The ball surface is very nice but it does show a few cuts (please see pics). Measuring from the finger to the thumb, cut to cut the span is approx. 4 5/8 inches. The finger inserts are still in the bowling ball. THE BOWLING BALL WILL BE PACKED AND SHIPPED IN A 10 X 10 X 10 BOX WITH PACKING PEANUTS, NOT LIKE OTHER BOWLING BALL COMPANIES THAT WILL NOT USE A LARGER BOX WITH PACKING.
