STEIFF Jocko Monkey Hand Puppet ~ ALL IDs Early Model 1952-53 German Mohair Toy

Description: Steiff, the legendary German plush toy company, is famous for its artistry, beauty, and lasting quality. The company produced amazing monkey characters since its early days and everyone is enchanted when the iconic Steiff Jocko Chimpanzee comes to life as a hand puppet. And this puppet is special because it is an early model made between 1952-53 and retains all Steiff IDs. The chest tag is a rare one with a modified bear design and red letters. Jocko was handcrafted in Germany using the finest mohair plush and felt but it has been well loved and shows age and play wear. There are bald and matted spots, small holes and the tags are worn and faded. Despite its imperfections, Jocko's endearing look with pocket glass eyes is adorable! Its head is stuffed with excelsior (wood wool) and has a cardboard finger tube for movement. Little Jocko hand puppet can't wait to join your vintage toy collection! Condition: Used and pre-owned vintage puppet. Well loved with bald spots, matted areas and small holes. Tags are worn and faded. Complete with all Steiff IDs.
