Description: DAINTY! Likely Archemede Seguso Sommerseo Basket Bowl A lovely vintage piece from the Mid-Century! The glasswork on this vintage Murano glass bowl is breathtaking and inspiring! Pink glass with intricately spaced controlled bubble elements is cased Sommerso-style in an outer layer of lustrous, opalescent glass! The eye to form, symmetry, and detail belies the work of a master. These forms were often attributed to Archemede Seguso of Vetri d’Arte glass house and imported around the Mid-Century to capture the American imagination! This piece is unsigned and does not bear its original sticker. There is very little doubt in my mind that this is an original, Murano Italy made glasswork. The attention to detail and symmetry and the perfectly polished base indicates the work and intention of an Italian master glassblower. Condition: This Murano basket is in EXCELLENT condition. There is no major flaws or damage, and this piece is exceptionally presentable! There are signs of light use, including a few exceedingly minimal fleabites and micro-scratches. These primarily appear on the outside of the piece. The inner, blush pink interior is largely without flaw or signs of user or wear.
